About Us

Founded in 1996, the regulatory agency Aneel was the backdrop for the beginning of our story in 1999. TR represents our DNA: Tariffs and Regulation. Between 1999 and 2003, the founder of TR Soluções, Paulo Steele contributed his knowledge and experience to two of Aneel's superintendencies: the regulation of distribution (SRD) and economic regulation (SRE). At SRD, he was one of the architects of the methodology for calculating the Distribution Usage Tariff (TUSD). In SRE, he worked on the initial processes of tariff reviews. In 2004, Paulo Steele decided to take a bold step: he founded TR Consulting, focused on providing consultancy in tariff review processes. The vision evolved, and in 2011, TR Consulting was reborn as TR Soluções, a technology company focused on electricity distribution tariffs.

Currently, TR Soluções offers the following services related to Tariffs and Regulation: SETE; Tariff Click; Published Tariffs; Historical Tariffs and Consulting Services (Workshop, Lectures, Courses, Tariff and Charges Projections, among others).

TR Soluções has become a reference in electricity tariffs, providing market intelligence services to a broad profile of clients such as: electrointensive consumers, large distributor groups, generators, traders, and consultancies for portfolio management of free consumer contracts, as well as sector associations, banks, and companies in the photovoltaic solar energy industry. The Service for Estimation of Electricity Tariffs (SETE) is already used by 80% of the top 20 largest energy sellers in Brazil, in addition to serving organizations from various segments of the sector for their tariff projections.
